Bhargava College of Education is being run under the aegis of Smt. Rattna Devi Gopal Dass Memorial Trust. The College is recognised by the Govt, of Jammu 6t Kashmir and affiliated to the University of Jammu. The College is preparing the students for the teaching profession and caters to multitudinal needs of budding students to become efficient teachers. The College is helping the students towards their personal growth and development of skills in all co-curricular activities. The knowledge has been likened to the holy waters of rivers Devak and Basantar and is working as a fibre of unity and integrity amongst people of various regions.
Bhargava College of Education is situated on the right side of Pathankot-Jammu National Highway at Samba near the Basantar Bridge. It is located at a distance of 40 km's from Jammu towards south-east and 68 kms from Pathankot, towards north-west.
The Ancient Samba Town was named after the Lord Krishna’s son-king SAMBH. The CHICHI MATA TEMPLE, SAMBHESHWER TEMPLE and river BASANTAR are of great historical importance around this town. The Samba town had been ruled by great kings like raja GAUR Sen, Raja KEHLDEV and RAJAMAL DEV. It is now a District headquarter of Jammu Province.

Physical Infrastructure :

The college has well-furnished and spacious physical infrastructure as per norms spread in an area of 2. Acres campus. The college has 12 well ventilated classrooms equipped with usual classroom apparatus. All central facilities include one multi-purpose hall having a seating capacity of more than 400 students, library, computer and psychological laboratory, educational technology cell, common rooms and staff rooms along with an open- play field for students etc.
